What happens in a colour consultation?

Sample colour tray - AtP Interior Design

A colour consultation is a great, affordable way to move from feeling fed-up to excited in one hour!

Every consultation I carry out is bespoke, because your home is as unique as you are.

Here’s what you can expect to happen in your colour consultation with me.

  1. First we’ll have a quick call to discuss your project and for me to listen to your hopes and ideas you have for your room. We’ll also arrange for me to visit you at home.

  2. Between our call and my home visit, I will invite you to join a shared Pinterest page and encourage you to pin images of ideas and schemes you like. (Don’t worry if you don’t have Pinterest - simply gather any images for us to look at during my home visit)

  3. I’ll visit you at home to see the room for myself and consider architectural features, light and the furniture you are keeping in the room. We’ll pull together your ideas, uses and hopes for the room, with me listening to your likes and dislikes. I’ll bring various samples with me so I can suggest colour schemes, wallpaper and paint finishes that will work best for the room. It will then be for you to make a final choice.

  4. Afterwards, I will send you a detailed colour report containing an image of your colour tray together with all of your paint colour, paint finish and wallpaper choices for all walls, ceilings and woodwork. I will also send you a guide on how to be absolutely sure it is right for you before you start.

That’s it. Simple. No more frustration, feeling unsure or overwhelmed. Just excitement to get started.

What you do next is up to you. I can recommend local decorators that I have used personally or you can get on with finding your own (or even do it yourselves!) Either way is up to you.

What you can be sure of is that you and your room will be at the heart of your consultation from start to finish.

So go on, say goodbye to fed-up feelings and start your journey towards excitement now.
